Why 35.6°F can sit beside 35°F.
ILLUSTRATIVE · NOT A HISTORICAL OBSERVATION
35.6°F rounds to 36°F. But that decimal can appear after an earlier Celsius rounding step.
Try a stored 35°F or 36°F reading. Both can become 2°C in a whole-Celsius report, then 35.6°F when converted back.

Check the data path.
This chart converts values from the NWS observations API. The linked WRH viewer uses Synoptic and can have different records or updates. A decimal display does not establish sensor precision. A present METAR T-group provides tenths-Celsius evidence; without it, precision is marked unconfirmed.
Daily maxima and minima are summaries, not individual observations. Use the selected station’s local standard time for the climate-day boundary and CLI extreme times, even in summer. An interim report has a cutoff; later readings may be outside its scope.
Conversion: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. This explorer rounds only for display and comparison; it preserves the API value. Nearest-integer ties go toward positive infinity. Sampling and averaging can also affect extrema; CLI reports can be revised.
